How effectively did Monarch's maintain their control of Medieval England ?
In this enquiry students study the importance of the Monarch in the feudal system. The feudal system was a way of organising society into different groups based on their roles. It had the king at the top with all of the power and control, and helped by the Church and the Barons. The peasants at the bottom had little power and control and did much of the work in Medieval villages. During the Medieval period 1066-1500 the power of the Monarchy was challenged by the Church, the Barons and the Peasants, but by 1500 with only slight adjustments it had survived. |
