Tallis celebrates diversity - Wednesday 22nd January 2020
Thomas Tallis School has traditionally chosen to highlight issues of social justice as a theme in its community days. This is to support the attributes of the Tallis Character which we seek to nurture, encourage Tallis Habits and to recognise significant cultural events.
This year we are celebrating cultural diversity and particularly remembering the terrible consequences of intolerance, prejudice and discrimination so that we can understand the world and change it for the better. These themes will be explored throughout the school day. Use the buttons above to access activities and resources.
The theme for Holocaust Memorial Day 2020 is Stand Together. Communities who stand together can resist exploitation and oppression. Today there is increasing division in communities across the UK and the world.
There is a need for us to unite in order to prevent the terrible consequences of division and marginalisation.
