Tallis Remembers 11th November 2020
At Tallis we observe Remembrance Day as an opportunity to think hard about what is being remembered, who is being remembered and why it is being remembered. Remembrance can be a selective Act and can sometimes be used to tell people what to remember. At Tallis we encourage a Remembrance culture which encourages the participants to think about the who, what and why?
Each year at Tallis on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, we observe a two minute silence. Armistice Day on 11 November marks the end of the First World War and is a day to remember those whose lives have been impacted on by that conflict and conflicts since. In addition this year, we remember the 75th Anniversary of the end of the Second World War.
