How far did Britain's economy, trade, Empire and migration of peoples change in the period 1500-1900?
In this enquiry students will investigate the development of the British economy, the growth of trade and Empire and its impact on the migration of peoples to contribute to the diversity of the British population in the Medieval period. Students will think hard about the causes & consequences, changes and continuities and the significance of these developments as Britain became more connected to the rest of the world. In addition they will investigate sources of evidence to explore particular narratives related to these interconnected themes. |
