The History Department in collaboration with our science colleagues organised a series of visits for the Year 10 History students to the Science Museum and Londons South Bank. The visit enhanced knowledge and understanding of the KS4 History GCSE History of Medicine course and Early Elizabethan England. The visits provided preparation for the revision of History GCSE Exams in Year 11 next academic year 2022-23. The arrangements were as follows;
9:00 Leave school and travel to the Science Museum.
10:30 Arrival time.
10:30-12:30 Special Investigation of Medicine through Time Gallery.
1:00 Lunch at Borough Market.
1:30-14:10 Special Investigation into Early Elizabethan England.
14:15 Leave and travel back to school for approximately 15:00.
The visit also provided opportunities for photographing some classic London tourist attractions including the Monument, Tower Bridge, Southwark Cathedral, the Golden Hinde, Shakespeare Globe and the Shard as well as creating a lovely memory for the students to share with their History Teachers.
