Journeys in cultural entitlement and student enquiry in thinking through History at Thomas Tallis School |
Student Enquiries 2014-15 |
Looking ahead 2015-16 |
The History at Tallis websites primary purpose it to support the learning of history students who develop through Thomas Tallis History Department and to facilitate home learning with parental support at KS3, KS4 and KS5. Furthermore it also aims to contextualise this learning by providing specific information regarding the experience of Learning at Tallis, the Tallis Pedagogy, and how this relates to wider developments in education. It also aims to stimulate thinking about how best pupils can develop their historical knowledge and understanding and develop student enquiry skills and thus maybe of interest to history educators elsewhere in History Pedagogy and New Technologies. During the academic year these aims were further pursued by the departments extensive commitment to student enquiry and cultural entitlement. Here are some examples of the many projects and visits undertaken in the academic year 2014-15.
