Tallis Voices 19th June 2019 - HUMAN RIGHTS, TALLIS RIGHTS
Thomas Tallis School is focussing its Third Community Day 2018-19 on the theme of Human Rights. The reason for this is to acknowledge the 70th Anniversary since the signing of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights on the 10th December 1948. Furthermore we wish to engage our students in thinking about human rights and to consider whose rights, where and when. This will provide them with an opportunity for reflection in preparation for the national media coverage during the week 24-28 June 2019. The day will be documented by the students in their Human Rights Passports and by the Tallis Live media team who will film between 8:40 and 11:20.
The aim of the day is for students to consider the different human rights, how they relate to Tallis and how they can be represented in images. The final product of the day will be bunting that will be displayed throughout the following week for the 70th Anniversary celebrations of the Declaration of Human Rights which will take place across the world.
