Overview 1. What was life like in the Medieval towns and villages?In this enquiry students will explore history's big idea of change and continuity to investigate Medieval towns and villages during the period 1066-1500. A medieval town would seek a charter giving it the right to become a borough. The rich merchants would then be allowed to choose a mayor and hold a market. In the early Middle Ages, under the feudal system, the life of a peasant was hard in the numerous villages.
