Tallis Remembers 9th November 2018
PM Registration collaboration.
During this PM registration students will be returning to consider their reflections of why, how and who we remember.
1 Tutors will ask their groups to watch and consider the Media production by the Tallis Media team, and to reflect on what they have learnt in the day about Remembrance.
2 Tutor will explain that during the weekend that many organisations and the country at large will be remembering, and that they should build this into the understanding of Remembrance that they have further developed during the day.

Tallis Remembers Postscript...Newsletter
In November 2015 Tallis students laid a special wreath of remembrance at the Menin Gate during their trip to France . We were able to share a special video, showing the laying of a wreath by two Tallis students, with everyone back at school on Remembrance Day itself, prior to the whole school community observing a very respectful minute's silence on the concourse. You can also watch the film of the Last Post ceremonyin France attended by the students and see photographs of the trip below. Three years on its now part of our collective memory.

Finally...Take a few minutes to Remember. Thanks Adam!
Hi Tony and Michelle, as mentioned earlier - here is a YouTube link to ‘Benedictus’, from ‘The Armed Man’ by Karl Jenkins: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_kTffgdNhNw.
It pays homage to the victims of the Kosovo crisis, and is in truth an ‘anti-war’ piece in the same vein as Benjamin Britten’s 'War Requiem'. It seems appropriate to me, however, as an homage to fallen soldiers and victims of war - and in no way a disservice to either. I hope you like it, and that it offers inspiration for November 9th.
PS And - a live performance version:

Enjoy,
Adam
