Lesson options include;
1 A 15-45 minute staff personalised focus on an issue related to Remembrance either related to a family or friends anecdote, or a particular area of interest related to the issue of Remembrance. Consider the who, how and why we remember, OR 2 A 15-45 minute department focus agreed by Curriculum Leaders and their teams on an issue related to Remembrance and the links between that particular Curriculum Area and issues related to Remembrance. Consider the who, how and why we remember, OR 3 A 15-45 minute focus and exploration in Remembrance of the men from the Parish of Kidbrooke who lost their lives in the First World War 1914-18. a) Period 1 Choose a surname beginning with B-H. b) Period 3 Choose a surname beginning with K-P. c) Period 4/5 Choose a surname beginning with R-S. d) Period 6 Choose a surname beginning with T-Z. For the character you choose, consider the who, how and why we remember, OR 4 A 15-45 minute focus on a key event or development from the 20th and 21st Century or an organisation that invites consideration of Remembrance. This will involve using either or both of the Youtube links to the right. Consider the who, how and why we remember. Finally, for everyone after doing either 1, 2, 3 or 4, 5 A 5-10 minute focus on a short whole class discussion that involves a consideration of the who, how and why we remember, followed by 5 minute completion of their reflections to be written on their Remembrance Passport. |
