PM Registration collaboration. Tallis celebrates diversity.
During this PM registration students will be returning to consider their reflections on Holocaust remembrance and the importance of tolerance and celebration of diversity in our school and wider communities.
- Tutors will ask their groups to watch and consider the Media production by the Media team, and to reflect on what they have learnt in the day about Holocaust and Genocide remembrance and the reasons why it is important to celebrate diversity. Also to consider the "Stopping Hate Speech" video.
- Tutors will explain that during the weekend and leading up to Monday 27th January many organisations and the country at large will be remembering the 75th Anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz and the Holocaust generally, and that they should build this into the understanding about why it is important to celebrate diversity.
Finally...Take a few minutes to Remember.
Here is a performance of ‘Benedictus’, from The Armed Man by Karl Jenkins. It pays homage to the victims of the Kosovo crisis, and is in truth an ‘anti-war’ piece. It seems appropriate as an homage to victims of conflict. I hope you like it, and that it offers inspiration for bringing your Holocaust Remembrance Day Activities to a close.
